Our Commitments and Objectives
Our Vision is to become Catalysts for Creation and Creativity, to encourage azorean creators at large to innovate their work through creative and critical thinking, to professionalise their creative practice and transform the local and regional creative ecosystem through innovative, meaningful and impactful work.
Our Mission is to engage with the community at large and host and promote community focused programming to encourage Creative and Critical Thinking through practice and experimentation at our Creative Hub and in collaboration with local, regional and international creatives and partners.
Azores Concepts is a Creative Hub based in the Portuguese Azores Island of Terceira, Lajes. It hosts Artistic Residencies at its Live in Facilities and Studios. Local, Regional and International Artists and Designers work at their Studios, exhibit and sell their work at the Gallery. Its Concept Store features works and Special Editions pieces by local and regional Azores based creatives.
Our Public & Community Programs and Events are the result of the intersection between our Studios Activities and Workshops, our Exhibitions and our Concept Store.
Through our Consultancy Work we support local, regional and international clients and partners with cultural and creative Project Development and Management. We mentor and host Creative Industries Businesses and Startups.
We are pioneers in the Azores in developing and providing Creative Tourism programs and activities especially targeting Azores visitors that want to engage with our Artists and Creatives in a meaningful and experimental way. We connect Azores visitors with Artists and Creatives and promote and curate experiences.
Our Headquarters hosting our Artists & Creatives Residencies and Studios , our Exhibition Gallery and Concept Store will inaugurate and open to the public in 2023. Until then we are engaging with local, regional and international opportunities and clients through our partnerships work, consultancy and Creative Tourism activities.

In this context, the emphasis shifts from the tangible to the intangible culture and the fundamental experience is an exchange of knowledge and expertise between the guest and the host. This exchange creates a more authentic and locally embedded form of cultural tourism.
